About Us

A Comforting Sanctuary In the Canadian Northwest

Our mission here at Sahtu Dene Inn is to provide function and comfort for those that want to explore the wild and serene Canadian Northwest Territories. At the Sahtu Dene Inn, you will find yourself in a humble town with less than 1000 people. The Sahtu Dene Inn is close to both the airport and the river giving you easy access to both transportation and the natural beauty at Norman Wells. We maintain and take care of our Inn with care and attention to detail. Visit us and experience the beauty of the Canadian North.

The Sahtu Dene Inn was officially opened for business on April 15, 2013 and is 100% owned by the four Sahtu First Nation communities. The business operates under the direction the Sahtu Chiefs serving on its board of directors.

It is with great thanks to the following visionaries in making this happen: Chief Raymond Tutcho, Chief Leonard Kenny, Chief Frank Andrew, Richard Kochon and Chief Wilfred Jr. McNeely, Freda Taneton and all the staff at the Sahtu Dene Council in Deline.
